Revere has been incredible. Not going to hit for much power, but the guy has every other tool you want and he doesn't swing and miss hardly ever.

Sounds like a typical Twins prospect. Kudos to that organization.

That's the sort of player Jim Bowden would have no interest in. Bowden's trade of Ben Broussard for Russell Branyan symbolizes his philosophy on offensive players. He'd rather have a team Of Wily Mo Penas and Russell Branyans and never touch a Jeff Keppinger or a Hairston Jr.

Man if Bucholz could make enough noise to move up to Dayton it would be a great second half there...

An infield of Soto, Cozart, Bucholz, Waring...

Then with Mes behind the plate and Jones and Reed in the outfield...

With the young guys in the rotation...

Also nice to see Frazier with a 2-4 night and a double...Hey Doug do you have a linedrive % for Frazier...Dayton vs. Sarasota...Kinda seem Sarasota is cutting down on his power numbers...Which is too be expected...

DSL Reds lost 12-1. Duran went 0-3 with 2 Ks, 0 BBs. This nasty slump he's in (0 for his last 20) has his line down to .214/.357/.339/.696.

Edit: He's actually 0 for his last 23, as his overall stats haven't updated yet to include today's game. I'm interested to see how he rebounds and adjusts to what is likely the first time he's ever tasted prolonged struggles on a baseball field.

Not only that but Branyan has been fairly-consistently out-performing Broussard. It really wasn't all that bad of a trade--Branyan had the bigger upside, but he just didn't put it all together before he left. In the long run, it didn't really help or hurt the Reds, especially since the Reds were obligated to pay Sean Casey anyway.

Duran's line has updated, and as expected it's gotten uglier. Through 19 games: .203/.342/.322/.664

Like I said, I'm interested to see how he rebounds, but also keep in mind it's still early. One big game and his OPS could be very good again.
