Tim Lincecum was taken to the hospital with dehydration and flu-like symptoms.

The 24-year-old will miss his first All-Star game: he'll remain at the hospital throughout the game and be monitored and hydrated. He's not scheduled to pitch until Sunday at the earliest, so this may not prevent him from making his next start.

I almost expected a few other guys to peel off their tuxes and put on their uniforms, Razor. I was waiting for Weaver to go to home plate, kick some dirt on the dish and yell at the umpire.
The cheer for LaSorda was very cool, considering the history.

This game could get very interesting if it goes extra innings. With the way Francona used his pitchers most for only an inning. He can only get through about 11 innings without a reliever going more than one. AL has also used all their players. NL still has McCann and Guzman on the bench.

TeamBoone
