To D'Back's:
Dunn
ptbnl/or cash

to Reds:
Jamie D'Antona 3b 26yr old AAA 1.019 OPS at AAA, Blocked by many corner infielders at the ML level. Could play 3b or LF I would assume and EE going to the other.
Brooks Brown RHP 23yr old AA supplemental 1st rounder in '06, mid 90's fb solid curve 3.54 ERA this year
Sean Coughlin C 23yr old low A 13th rounder 2007 low hitting .252/.362/.470 .832 OPS

Just throwing ideas out there, we might need to add a mid tier guy rather than just a ptbnl like a Fisher or such. But what do you think? I think it beats the 2 first rounders who are 3-4 years away, plus the risk of Dunn accepting arbitration.

No. The picks would be better.

Considering how easily the DBacks gave up Quentin when he had fallen behind people on the organizational depth chart, nah.

I really think D'Antona is a great hitter. Problem is, I'm not sure if he's a good option to move to left. If so, I'd probably do that deal. If not, then I'd pass.

Picks are nice, but I'd rather have major league-ready talent if possible. As long as the Reds get better than mediocre talent, trade him if he's not going to be re-signed.

Maybe, but the Reds don't have to pay bonuses to these guys. That's money that can be spent elsewhere. Just something to consider.
