Holy smokes! Mike Hampton is starting today for the Braves.

Hasn't pitched in the bigs since 2005. Before I got married.

He's earned something like 30 million dollars since his last pitch.

Hope he does well.

It looks like he could get a win if he can get through 5 innings without blowing the 6 run lead his team just gave him.

WOW. 9 Runs, 6 Earned off Cole Hamels in 3 and 2 thirds before they took him out.

The over/under for Hampton getting hurt is apparently 4 hours.

Aren't the Rockies still paying him to NOT pitch for the Braves? That has to be the all time worst contract ever.

No, it's all on the Braves now.

In 2009, he'll be an Astro, pending a physical.

Hampton should pitch for the Rockies and Braves, and pay them to do it. What a joke.

Too bad. This is a free agent I hoped Walt would talk to seriously. I made that argument here some weeks ago but was told he was a certainty to re-sign with Atlanta.

Mike Hampton = Carl Pavano = Eric Milton

Stay far far away from Mike Hampton.

Why would you want him on this team in GABP?

Some people like punishment.

Here in Houston, there saying it's pretty much a done deal that Hampton's signed with the Astros...just pending a physical. And it looks like they've given up any ideas of re-signing Wolf.

~edit~ hehe...didn't see 'unassisted''s first post of yesterday. Nevermind.

Now watch Hampton pitch a 2 hitter against us and then in his next start his arm falls off.

Don't forget the two upper deckers he'll no doubt hit in the same game.

As expected, the Hampton signing was just finalized. He's an Astro once again.
