Chris Dickerson walks on four pitches in his first PA of the night. It seems like he's on base every time you turn around these days.

What he is doing with all these walks, Doesn't he know, by watching CP, that the path to a big league leadoff hitter is swinging at the first pitch every time

I think they messed up the probable, cause Jukich last pitched on the 25 and Bobby on the 26th, so he should go tmmr.

Why is Corey Patterson still a member of the Reds? CP still with the Reds just goes to show the the FO has no clue what it is doing.

No idea. I'd be sending Patterson back to Louisville tonight and bring up Chris Dickerson to replace him.

Maybe they need him to take Arroyo's spot in the rotation.

The GCL Reds and DSL Reds have already played. The lookouts are facing Jerome Gable, not Tommy Hanson. It doesn't matter since they are being 1 hit through 6 innings though.

Really nice to see Jukich not just pitch decently, but go 8 innings and give up no runs. He went 102 pitches tonight. He got hammered his 1st 2 starts at Louisville, so he needed this.

If Arroyo ends up getting traded, then Jukich's start tonight solidifies the rotation in AAA allowing for Livingston to move up to the Majors.

Jukich showed tonight that he can stay in AAA for the rest of the season.

One of the various reasons I felt that Griffey need to be traded was to give Chris Dickerson a chance to start everyday for the last half of the season. His bat seems interesting enough that it might translate enough to work in CF. He has lots of flaws, but his premium defense can help make up for it. Either way, he's young and somewhat interesting, it would be nice to get a sneek peak to what he can be for us in the future. He's got massive platoon splits, so it's quite possible that he can be a very strong platoon CF.

If both Griffey and Dunn remain in the fold, it's hard to imagine Dickerson getting much of an opportunity besides a reserve stint. Griffey has no future here, it's time to see what we can get out of Dickerson. CF is too big a gaping hole right now to ignore it when their is an in house "idea".

Hey, at least we won that "bidding war" for Corey Patterson where the Reds offered $3 million and Patterson's next-best offer was, uh, nothing. Now that is what I call negotiating my friends!

Chris Dickerson is not going to be a great MLB player, let's not fool ourselves (not that anyone is). But he should have been called up to the Reds yesterday. They have no problem DFA or outright releasing other veterans who aren't performing that make a lot of scratch (Stanton). I'm not sure why there is a different mindset when it comes to Patterson. I actually like the fact that Dickerson is getting everyday at-bats in AAA, but he should still be up with the team. I'm sure he will be soon, but Patterson needs to go.

(Cue the music...)

What time is it? It's stat-padding time!

I love it. Can't believe Soto got out that one time though. What a joke. This kid expects me to take him seriously when he goes 5-for-6? I need my prospects going 6-for-6 with at least 2 HRs. Let's not get complacent, gentlemen.

Welcome to being at least the Reds' backup catcher for the foreseeable future.

My personal guess is that Jocketty will sign/trade for a starting catcher this offseason. And then Hanigan will be the backup.

Saw Sotto in person tonight, and WOW. Looks a little awkward running and could still add to his frame but the kid can FLAT OUT HIT. Every ball he hit, was hit very hard.

Whole team came out swinging today and hammered Burlington.

Didn't get around to commenting on yesterday, but both teams were very sluggish after the weather delay. Kyle L. looked good, seemed like he had somebody on base almost every inning but pitched better with runners on.

First time seeing Mesoraco in person, didn't realize how short he is. Seems like an athlete and is swinging a nice bat.

Hanigan can at least be the backup catcher on the Reds. He will never be a slugger, but I will take a .300 hitting catcher. I would cut loose one of our 3 catchers, most likely Valentin. As for Dickerson, let him show what he can do as a reserve this year in Cincinnati. If he continues to perform, we have found our short-term center fielder, and a move to right(his natural position) could be in order for Bruce next year.

Ray Liotta pitched against them the night before and he told them that they needed to "swing and miss a few times for some friends of his".
