Do you think he might get bumped up to Chattanooga this season or have to wait until next season?

Do you think he might get bumped up to Chattanooga this season or have to wait until next season?

I'm really not sure. There's only about a month left in the minor league season so probably not, though with Sarasota most likely missing the playoffs they may promote him to Chattanooga to give them another solid player for the playoffs. I remember Frazier and Waring were promoted to Dayton on the last weekend of the regular season last year to help Dayton in the playoffs so we may see that again this season with Heisey and Frazier hopefully.

Right now it appears three of the Reds minor league teams will make the playoffs. Louisville has all but locked up their division as they currently have a seven game lead over Toledo. Dayton leads the wild card by two games and Billings has already won the first half of their league which guarantees them a spot in the playoffs. Since Chattanooga isn't going to the playoffs we may see guys like Henry and Valaika promoted to Louisville for depth.

Carlos Fisher throws a 1-2-3 7th inning with two strikeouts and a groundout.

1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K

He's another guy I like out of the bullpen. A big strong guy with nice strikeout rates and a decent amount of groundballs. He's not on the 40-man roster so I doubt we see him in Cincy this year but he could get a look in spring training.

Didn't realize Louisville is playoff bound. This likely explains the decision not to promote Dickerson, Hanigan, Janish, Roenicke, etc.

Maybe Reds would prefer these guys get winning experience and playoff experience at AAA as opposed to playing in a losing environment with the big club. After the playoffs they come up to the Reds.

Makes some sense to me.

Larry really does know the game and he loves being a part of the team. He's been known to even take uniforms and get them mended. I've often wondered why he has graduated to a bigger market. Its either Chatt is his home and he doesn't want to leave or..... He can be somewhat opinionated at times, and uses some pretty colorful language. Maybe that's keeping him back.
