Is he now holding out for a better contract?

He is working with the Reds to try to rework his contract so he has more options and can go down to the minors.

He did that for about 3 or 4 starts in chattanooga if I remember correctly...

Good for Frazier, was starting to worry about him a bit. Not worry in the sense that he's never going to be a good player for the Reds, but he seemed to regress a little bit in the second half this year. I know Sarasota is a pitchers' league, but if Juan Francisco improves as the year goes on, I expect the same out of Todd Frazier. Actually when you consider Stubbs' numbers at Sarasota and the fact that he got promoted, it's pretty amazing Frazier hasn't been promoted to Chattanooga yet. I guess they are just going to start him there next year, but if Stubbs earned a promotion, Frazier should have as well. I think keeping him in Florida all summer (which must suck with those 105-degree days) caused him to plateau. Not just because of the heat, just the fact that he didn't get rewarded for playing well. He should have finished the year in AA, IMO.

That's the second time he's thrown a scoreless inning with the Reds. People thought he was being converted after the first time, but he continued to spend most of his time playing third base. His hitting is really bad (.202/.295/.244), so I think it's time for him to give it a full-time try.

I think this is more about defense and finding him a position than his offense...I would like to see a permanent move to either 3rd base or LF...
