Not trying to stir up any trouble, but did anyone else notice that Reds.com still lists Griffey's stats but does not list Dunn's?

http://cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/stats/sortable_player_stats.jsp?c_id=cin&baseballScope=CN2&subScope=pos&teamPosCode=all&statType=Overview&timeSubFrame=2008&sitSplit=&venueID=&Submit=Submit&timeFrame=1

Seems like we're just more eager to expunge some players from memory than others.

Or maybe it's just a mistake.

Anyway, just sayin'...

I saw that a few days ago and kinda wondered myself, but I think I figured it out. I think it's because Jr. went to the AL and Dunn stayed in the NL. On the Whitesox stats page it only shows Jr's stats with the Sox:
http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/stats/sortable_player_stats.jsp?c_id=cws&baseballScope=CHA&subScope=pos&teamPosCode=all&statType=Overview&timeSubFrame=2008&sitSplit=&venueID=&Submit=Submit&timeFrame=1

On the Dbacks stats page it shows Dunn's stats for the entire season:
http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/stats/sortable_player_stats.jsp?c_id=ari&baseballScope=ARI&subScope=pos&teamPosCode=all&statType=Overview&timeSubFrame=2008&sitSplit=&venueID=&Submit=Submit&timeFrame=1

I think that since Jr went to the AL they could only show his stats for the games he played in the AL, but there had to be a record somewhere of his stats before he was traded. Since Dunn stayed in the NL they could move all of his stats over to the Dbacks page.

That's just what I think it is, I could be wrong.

Ah yes, that must be the right explanation. Sorry for the implications. It's late.

Saw the very same thing too last week when browsing the stats page.

I figures it was just a Rameses II moment of expunging one's name from the record books - "So let it be written. So let it be done."
