I'm sick of this. I know everyone else is too. When I saw him come on, I KNEW we would give up some runs. This guy needs to find a new career.

Can't argue with you there. I have ZERO faith anytime he comes in the game.

I've started calling him "Gas Can Gary"

If nothing else, it fits.

I don't want to see him on the roster next year, but releasing him now makes no sense. He has a solid arm, and is under a cheap contract for next year, so might as well keep him and hopefully use him in a trade as a throw in.

This team has a lot of weak spots. Magic needs to go but he's not the only one. I think there might actually be more players on this team that need to go than need to stay. That is just how bad they are.

He has no trade value. We would have to pay someone to take him.

i don't get the reasoning behind putting majewski in a 1-run game. it really makes no sense. maybe it does to baker, but not me. speaking of baker, ive refrained from attacking him on here all season hoping that he might do something logical when it comes to lineups, game situations, etc. he is truly incompetent. it is amazng that this "proven winner" can make so many dumb mistakes game after game. i don't know that he really thinks that he is right or he's hoping to catch lightning in a bottle. this team is run by idiots. i've been a fan for 28 years and i am so sick of watching the losing year after year. i really cannot stand to watch or listen to them anymore. free tickets and gas would not convince me to attend any games. fogg, majewski, bako, valentin, patterson, dick pole, brook jacoby, and anyone i'm neglecting to mention should be gone. these guys are dead weight anyways. christ, this team infuriates me........

I don't think it fits. Gas can only fuel the fire. Most of the time he starts the fire.

That is the greatness of Gary Majewski...he can DO IT ALL!

The Reds always seem to have a guy like this...and they keep running him out there over and over with the same result. John Stuper, Don Carmen, Xavier Hernandez, Danny Graves, Corey Patterson

We got rid of Austin and Felipe for this guy. He's still a winner in my book.

He was good for that one week in July.

keep running him out there because he has a chance to prove that the kearns trade makes the reds a BIG winner. He needs more time to attempt to lower his WHIP to under 5.00

dumping kearns and lopez made us the winner.. not anything we got in return..

Not even Bill Bray?

bill bray wasnt bad.. but if he doesnt turn this around.. kearns' 31 homers with washington are just as good as all of the good bray did..

if he gets back to back of bullpen form.. then yes he will be good.. but just dumping those 2 is better than nothing...

I like Bray. Yeah his whip is pretty poor, but his BABIP has been a whopping .363. He strikes a lot of guys out though he does walk a few guys. I think he's pretty good.

Kearns has been a black hole this year. Hindsight being 20/20, Bill Bray for Lopez and Kearns was good.

Of course, I wasn't saying that when it happened.

yeah but if bray doesnt come out of his funk.. he will be the nothing i would have taken to dump kearns and lopez..

I'm with you. As manager the only time I would use him would be if we were being blown out of a game. As GM I'd DFA him and bring up Roenicke or Adkins from Louisville.

Funk? What funk? Other than the Aug 30 game (which really wasn't bad) what funk is he in?

reds.. he hasnt had an outing where he didnt at least give up a walk or hit.. in over a month and a half.. and he has been brought in as a specialist a couple times and failed to get that guy out..

If Bill Bray is your lefty specialist, then that is Dusty's bad. He does as well against righties as he does lefties, maybe better. Bray is a classic 7th or 8th inning set-up guy. I think he has pitched above average this year.

If that's a funk then I'll take a funk over whatever Majewski and other guys are doing.

As long as runs aren't scoring in droves I'm happy.

i would agree.. that he is better than magic man.. but on a championship caliber team he would be a specialist pitcher and that is it.. not a setup man or a long relief guy..
