Why is Fogg still in the rotation while Ramirez is relegated to the bullpen?

Fogg is a known quantity and not in the Reds 2009 plans. It's a perfect chance for the Reds to assess one of their young arms against major league hitters. It's baffling that vets like Fogg, Patterson, Bako and Cabrera continue to get playing time over the younger players.

NOTE: I'm pleased to see Wilkin Castillo get a start today over Patterson or Cabrera.

Dusty's logic probably was he had a veteran pitcher on the mound so he can have rookie fielders. When we see Cueto next it will be Bako catching, Patterson in CF, Cabrera in LF.

I agree that it is laughable to keep throwing those guys out there even 3 days a week.

I suspect today will be Fogg's last start for the club. I see no reason to run him out there again. Let him be the mop up man.

With a reported 'pulled groin', this whole issue is likely a moot point.
