I don't mind us looking at him, and if he is somehow healthy signing him to a low-end with incentives deal.

If you read all the way through the article, you will notice that we also signed a 16 year old Venezuelan prospect.

Eh... take the gamble, see if it turns out. I don't know if I'd offer him any more than a Mill tho.

If Mulder were to take a contract with a low base and a lot of incentives it would sertainly be worth it. Mulder does not seem to have the same "stuff" that he featured in his best years. The year before he left Oakland(his last year in Oakland), his K:BB rate was 1.67:1 was the worst it had been since his rookie year. In the previous 3 years, his K:BB rate was over 3:1 so maybe Billy Beane saw Mulder tailing off and felt it was time to deal him. He has not been healthy in last few years and he is not getting any younger so if he wants a decent amout of guaranteed money, I'd say it isn't worth the risk. But a low base contract with incentives would be a good low risk deal.

Mulder would have to come cheap as all get out. If he does I'd give him a shot.
