A championship for an Ohio team!

It wasn't the Reds or the Bengals, but I'll take it.

No kidding. Just excellent touch on the ball to get it over the defender for Hejduk to head in. Three assists for MVP Schelotto. Hopefully they can lock him and Sigi Schmid up for a few more years.

Part of me wishes they did home and home legs for the final match.

The North East fans are the best group of fans for any team in Ohio. I've been to games at Ohio Stadium, GABP, amongst many others and no other fan group comes close. They bring a level of energy to a game that is fantastic.

The Nordecke definitely put on a show at the game. You could hear the chants of "Guillermo" and "We're Not Done Yet" throughout the game. I'm definitely making the trek from Akron down to Columbus for a game next season.

They're about to lose their coach.

They might lose their top defender too.

On the upside, Andy Iro should be able to step in.

Coach (and former player) Robert Warzycha is a neighbor of mine. I'm not a big soccer fan, but I'm very proud of the Crew.
