Love it. I've recently started watching all the seasons of Curb on DVD. I finished the third season last night. I think the final episode of season where they open the restaurant is one of the funniest things I've ever seen (the one where they have the chef who randomly swears without knowing it, and then Larry yells out profanities, then all of a sudden everyone is just swearing arbitrarily). Only problem is I don't have HBO, so I'll have to wait for the DVDs.

I like Curb and Larry David, but sometimes, some episodes, I start to feel a little sorry for him, the way he gets the crap kicked out of him, constantly. But, I guess that's the point.

Asa Seinfeld addict, and big fan of Larry David, one of the reasons I'm getting Directv's On Demand is so I can possibly get CYE. I watched it constantly when I had Time Warner.

Most of the seasons are on DVD and can be gotten at discount price on Amazon.

Anybody with HBO OnDemand watched the behind the scenes special about the Seinfeld reunion (not a reunion) on Curb? I just watched it today. I didn't know what the story line was going to be for getting the Seinfeld cast back together until I watched it. Awesome.

I don't know if most already know, but they're making new Seinfeld episodes on Curb. They recreated the Seinfeld set, (Jerry's apartment, the coffee shop) and they brought everybody back. Newman, Banya, George's parents and others. From the few snippets of scenes that they showed it looks fantastic. I don't know if I've ever been more excited for a TV show. If you have HBO OnDemand it's well worth the 22 minutes to watch.

It was kind of awkward at first, and it felt rushed, but no question it was a whole lot of fun.

I started to think this was a bad idea. I'd rather just have a traditional reunion show and be done. I was worried this might taint (bad choice of words but I'll go with it for lack of a better term) the series. However, then I read a couple of quotes from Seinfeld and Alexander that really made some great points. The whole premise of the series was to defy traditional comedy. After I thought about it, doing it this way fits perfectly with the series and makes me appreciate the humor even more.

While the actors were not in character, they were collectively the Seinfeld cast again even as their individual personalities. It was truly a cool dynamic. I know they'll finish this season off leaving me (and everyone else) wanting more just as they did in 1998. But that will again be exactly their point.

Very excited about this. Tonight was awesome.

It was hilarious to see Jason Alexander in a Seinfeld type of situation where he wasn't George, but was having deal with "George". The whole "tip" scenario is exactly the type of thing George would have done and seeing Alexander not even realizing that was priceless.

That was my exact thought as well. Seeing their out-of-persona, yet, bizarrely in-character dialogue was awesome. Even Larry talking normal was the exact kind of Seinfeld exchange you'd expect in the show. It was sitcom meets reality meets the show about nothing. Very brilliant thus far.

Yes, that scene was nearly as good as it gets in television.

I do have to mention my favorite scene from last weeks show. Right after the Blacks leave and Larry tells Leon what happened and they're standing there and Larry says "so I guess you'll be....." and Leon says "eating this ******* Chinese food in my ******* room" and walks inside.

I can't stop laughing after this week's episode. Definitely one of the best ones in the series. The ending was priceless. I'm going to be laughing for a week.

Last night was phenomenal. My only disappointment is that I don't think we're going to be able to see the entire Seinfeld reuinion script in it's entirety.

It's amazing how very seinfeld-like the material is and how fresh it feels. I loved the way they weaved in Michael Richards' "off the field" problems into the show. That was awesome. And Leon is freaking hilarious.

I also love that they're making reference to "already screwing up one finale" with Larry saying they ddin't screw it up. Personally, I thought the Seinfeld finale was brilliant and totally in keeping with the spirit of the series. All the other classic finales were all about resolving story lines. Seinfeld didn't have any story lines. What made Seinfeld so incredible were all the eccentric characters throughout the life of the show (e.g. soup nazi, babu, banya, etc...) and all the whacky situations (e.g. contest, stealing the marble rye, susan dying from wedding invitations, etc...). Bringing back all those characters and reliving those situations in the context of a court case about how screwed up these people were was genius, in my opinion. I never understood what people were expecting from a Seinfeld finale. There was no way to elevate stories or build up to something big because the show never built on anything. I always thought a lot of the criticism was coming from people who just didn't get what the show was all about.

If people complained because they wanted Jerry and Elaine to get married and live happily ever after or some fluffy nonsense like that, they weren't paying attention to the show and probably should have been watching Family Ties or Growing Pains or some other lovey dovey family show. The finale was exactly what the show was all along. Awesome.

I was worried that this season would have too much of the Seinfeld stuff. They've hit it just right. I didn't want the Seinfeld thing to overshadow the rest of the season, and it hasn't. This is probably my favorite Curb season since season 4, with two of my favorite episodes of all time "Vehicular Fellatio" and "The Bare-Midriff."

The last 2 episodes this season was great. This was the 1st season I've watched, and I'm hooked. I've asked Santa for the past seasons on DVD.

After 11 years, the "fake episode" they taped was like they went back in time. They did not miss a beat.

The ending kinda, sorta played like the possible end of the series, which is fitting considering they made references to how some didn't like the ending of Seinfeld.

Having said that.... I think it'll be back for another season. What year that'll actually be, who knows with LD's hatred for producing the show. :D
