View Full Version : Jay Gibbons in LF?

According to the Miami Herald, the Marlins release Jay Gibbons today.

He bats left handed, which doesn't help our search for right handed power, but he's been productive so far this spring. He's been named in the Mitchell Report, so not sure that we need the negative publicity. Thoughts?

Don't think it would be a good pick up this late in the game. We have enough guys that can fill the need we have in LF, until we decide to go get someone else.

Thanks for sharing your expert commentary

We already have somewhat of a logjam out there, as it is. Especially with Agon back - Hairston will be in the OF quite a bit.

A simple "no" would suffice.

Like who? Seems to me that we've got a clean group of players (most too young to bother with steroids).

What if Jay Gibbons names was Gay Jibbons? That's all I have to say about him.
