Who'd have figured Cozart as top hitter in Carolina at this point?

Didn't Misael have a brother on the team with him last year? I thought there were 2 of them.

At what point does the organization ponder whether Heisey is passing (or has already passed) Stubbs as a prospect?

I've been wondering that, too. They're very similiar, it seems. Great speed and defense. Stubbs is perceived to have more power, but it hasn't shown up as a pro. Heisey makes better contact. And lately he's been showing some power himself. Plus, from what I've read, Heisey's intangibles are top of the line.

I'm not convinced the Reds would win 100 games against the Bats over the course of a full season. The Reds' talent at AAA is head and shoulders above what it was a few years ago.

Dorn should be a starter in AAA.

Yep. It's ridiculous they are giving atbats to Barker over Dorn. Dorn should be playing everyday vs lefties and right handers.

Heisey is a little old for the league, but he's got the look of a guy who could be a useful 4th OF or stopgap starting CF and leadoff guy in the Clark/Denorfia mold. You've got to love that 32/34 SB ratio last year. I suppose that implies that the Reds will let hit sit in the minors for the next 2 years, give him a sporadic shot to contribute at the major league level, and them release him or trade him for a PTBNL...

No, I mean Kevin @#*&! Barker. Was doing something else and typed the wrong first name. In a sane world the club would call him up so he could be disembowled in a pre-game ceremony before a sellout crowd.

Yeah, I just felt like giving somebody a hard time. I think it's only a matter of time before Barker or Bankston is traded for cash considerations.

Drew Stubbs dropped a pop up the same inning that Adam had the throwing error. The Bats should've coasted through that inning, instead it turned into a nightmare.

Also, while long-tossing w/the Bullpen catcher, Gomes through a LASER that went over the catcher's head and bounced around the stands!!! Good thing there wasn't very many people at the park tonight, that one would've hurt someone!

Thats not entirely accurate. Stubbs never touched that ball. He just lost it in the lights/clouds.

we can agree to disagree, but from where I was sitting it sure looked like it hit him in the wrist and bounced away

The official scorer watched the replay multiple times and determined he didn't touch the ball, thus didn't give him an error.
