I like Danny Dorn a lot, but he is really struggling in limited time at AAA. He is 2 for 23 in his first 9 games, with 2 walks and 9 strikeouts.. Here's hoping he can make some adjustments next week, and turn it around.

I'm not concerned about his hitting yet. If he gets a couple months along and is still scuffling then maybe he's hit a ceiling here but so far the kid has shown he can flat hit. Everyone has an occasional 2-23 type of run. It is worth keeping an eye on though

Dorn gets 2 hits on Saturday including a bomb. Yay!

His future is as a left-handed bat off of the bench, at best. With lefties Bruce, Dickerson, and possibly either Votto or Alonso looking like the OF of the future, I'm not sure if Dorn's future is in Cincinnati.

I don't know if anyone has seen it, but Danny Dorn has a blog of his own called Dorn's Dish.
Here is a link to his last 3 blog entries: http://redsprospect.mlblogs.com/

His career .313/.399/.569 vs right-handed pitching suggests otherwise.

The way the Reds seem to talk about him suggests otherwise unfortunately. If Dorn gets even a season as a platoon guy without an injury giving him that spot with the Reds, I would be surprised.
