Dayton just got underway. They went down 1-2-3 in the first. Sulbaran struck out the first guy he saw on a 92 MPH fastball looking on 3 pitches.

Sarasota plays at 4 with Zach Stewart starting.

Carolina and Louisville were both rained out.

I think it was reported that Sulbaran left his last start with blister problems, which is why he was held back in Extended-ST. Do you guys think that will be an issue moving forward? It seems like a problem that can only be fixed by not throwing.

Well, one of the remedies that he and the staff came up with was to let his fingernail grow longer on the finger he has issues with. Pregame in his last start he broke that nail, which led to the blister. As long as he keeps that nail long enough, he shouldn't have the issue all that often. It just so happened to work out iffy last start for him.

Well that seems like a simple solution. Hopefully he can avoid any further issues and keep progressing well this year, because he has some real good stuff from what I saw in the WBC!

Sulbaran allows a controversial double (Dragons all thought it was foul - argument ensued) to lead off the 6th inning. The next batter lines into a double play started by a leaping Miguel Rojas at SS who threw to second to erase the base runner.

Dayton wins 3-0. They needed that one. They can't waste great pitching performances with how bad the teams offense is.

Sarasota down 2-0 now in the 7th and also in a rain delay. My guess is, that will do it for Stewart. I believe he still has runners on, but for now his line - 6.2ip, 3h, 1 earned, 1bb, 3K.

Is this a prototypical type of game for Zach? What I mean, is he typically a high GB/FB type of ration?
