Dayton has 3 game winning streak on the line also...... We are having a monsoon down here in Florida..... I'd be suprised if Sarasota played.

Starting to get excited about Stubbs. Have a feeling that a good first half may lead to him being dealt at the deadline.

If the Reds view Heisey as the better player it could be why they went after Willy T for 2 years.

HEISEY’S STREAK ENDS

OF Chris Heisey (Carolina) last night in the second game of a doubleheader vs Jacksonville went 0-for-5 to end his consecutive on-base streak at 37 games (dating back to 8/31/08)...prior to yesterday’s nightcap, Heisey had reached safely in every one of his 35 games this season...the 37-game streak had been the longest active streak at the Double-A level...during the streak, Heisey batted .350 (49-140, 5hr, 16rbi, .442obp).

CARRY ON GOOD CHAP

In Dayton’s 11-2 victory last night in Lansing, RF Stephen Chapman became the first Dragons player this season to belt 2 home runs in a game...he also set club single-game highs with 4 runs and 3 stolen bases, in addition to driving in 4 runs...Chapman, 23, joined the Dragons on 5/6 as a minor league free-agent.

FAIRELY WELL

LHP Matt Fairel (Dayton) last night at Lansing recorded his third straight quality start (6ip, 5h, 2r, 2bb, 4k)...Fairel has been quality in 4 of his last 5 starts and in 5 of his last 7...in his first outing of the year on 4/9 vs Great Lakes, he gave up 3er in 2ip...without that start, his ERA drops from 3.12 to 2.61...Fairel leads the Midwest League with 53 strikeouts and 43.1 innings pitched.

GOMES HEATING UP

OF Jonny Gomes (Louisville) has hit safely in 13 of 16 games (20-62, .323, 6hr) to raise his batting average from .238 to .280 and his slugging pct. from .460 to .584.

He continues to be either very, very good or very, very bad. The numbers suggest that he has good stuff, but control problems that force him to give in to hitters.

TRF is downright giddy about Stubbs.

Don't be mean.

I'm thrilled he's doing well. I hope the reds don't screw it up by promoting him too soon.

But I'm jaded. Ive seen him streak before onlt to have a league adjust to him. I've heard every excuse for his poor performances, from injury to he's tired to it's the FSL and no one hits there.

Here is how much I can't stand Taveras' game. I hope next year, Stubbs bumps him to 4th OF.

Sorry buddy. Couldn't help it. :)

I'm with you on next year. I'd love to Stubbs continue to progress and take over CF in Cincinnati in 2010.

That performance by Watson sure is promising. He's been lost in the shuffle a bit, but I still think he's one of the best relief prospects in the organization.
