Today's issue of Sports Weekly has an article they title "Stealth Squad Flies Under Radar." I can never find the weekly magazine's articles online, but here's their premise:

Sure, some of them have been All-Stars, World Series heroes or league leadesr. Many of them are well-compensated. Yet, for whatever reason - market size, success of team or the presence of more notorious teammates - some of baseball's best players have deftly ducked the spotlight. But not here. Sports Weekly takes a close look at five of the games unknown stars and a few more to round out our Stealth Squad

Not in the top five, but named to their squad is our own Willy Taveras. They write:

As a prospect with the Houston Astros, Taveras finished second in NL Rookie of the Year voting in 2005, but he has been inconsistent since, following up a career-high .320 batting average in 2007 with a .251 mark last season. He has always been consistent on the basepaths, however, stealing at least 30 bases a year, including 68 last season. Combining that speed with great range in center field. Taveras has been a key cog and spark plug for a team contending in a balanced NL Central.

The other players they name and write about are:

Mark Buehrle, SP
Ramon Ramirez, RP
Freddy Sanchez, 2B
Raul Ibanez, LF
Brad Hawpe, RF
Marco Scutaro, SS
Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
Bengie Molina, C
Jason Kubel, DH
