Junior Martinez now pitching for Dayton. We heard about a live arm on him a few years ago. Well, he has hit 94 tonight and hit 97 in his last game. Not the greatest numbers ever, but his arm does sound pretty good.

The impressive thing for me is that Fairel has continued to pitch well even though he is not striking out 10+ a game in his last few outings. Maybe, as some have suggested, he is just overmatching Midwest League pitching. But I have high hopes for him and he could move quickly through the system. He probably deserves a move to A+ soon.

I'll give the Reds till the draft, but after that Heisey and probably Frazier need to be promoted to AAA. They should then let Frazier play some third base in case EE's throwing problems continue and they need to make a change there.

Reds team is so thin on offense that anybody who can hit should be moved along fairly aggressively.

Wll Fay has a post up on his blog where he talked to Jocketty and Jocketty said that he would not hesitate to bring a player up straight from AA.

Agree. I think two parts of the org's agenda should be to see if Frazier can play third and whether Heisey can hit enough to be considered for a corner spot as well as for CF. But if we're going to promote only one of Heisey or Frazier, it should be Heisey.

AUDIO: Danny Dorn solo homerun, 1-0
• AUDIO: Paul McAnulty ties the game with a solo homerun, 1-1
• AUDIO: Danny Richar solo homer takes the lead, 2-1

Despite a solo home run by Paul McAnulty and a pair of hits from Jeff Bailey, the PawSox came up short on Wednesday night, falling to the Bats, 4-2.

Justin Lehr (6-2) earned the victory, the third time he has won against Pawtucket in 2009. The first two wins came in April when he was a member of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.

Losing pitcher Enrique Gonzalez (5-5) surrendered three solo home runs to Louisville. Danny Richar, Danny Dorn and Wes Bankston all went deep. Travis Denker and Freddy Guzman had a couple of hits apiece for the PawSox. Now at 27-25, the PawSox will try to get back into the win column on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.

Clay Buchholz (3-0, 1.47) will face Sam LeCure (2-4, 6.02). Five days ago, Buchholz had a perfect game broken up in the ninth by Louisville's Danny Richar
