From JohnFay:

Volquez is pushed back after MRI finds inflammation. He'll be examined Tuesday. Return before All-Star break is unlikely.

That's not good. Hopefully he'll be fully healed by the time he's back this time. The other day on ESPN Radio Colin Cowherd said that the Mets or Phillies were two teams struck by the injury bug the worst in baseball... I'd say we're top of the list, but their misfortunes are just getting more media attention because of their bigger market.

Toronto has lost 4 starters this year. If that happened to us, we wouldn't only be a game under .500.

This is one reason I think it's too early for the Reds to think about moving Arrroyo. They need to be sure Volquez is indeed going to make it back this year. That is unless they just want to write off this year right now. If so, then trade away.

"You can never have enough starting pitching," holds true.

its only took Dusty a little over a year to knock one of our guys out. Impressive.
