This move proves to me the Reds are buyers in the market and are going for the playoffs.

Good thing we got rid of Norris. With Willy T's great bunting ability, we won't need him anymore.

I could give squats about aquiring Corky Miller but this does open the door for a OF to be moved up from AA. I would bet good solid money Peterson will DFA and Heisley will be moved up in the next couple days...

I saw Corky Miller hit the ball hard once. Right on the screws. Just sayin'.

Just become a Charlotte Knights fan. Did you know that the Charlotte Knights play their home games in South Carolina? It's true!

This is just a trade to fill specific needs.

Nothing to see here.

It is amazing that a team could actually get a bad return for Norris Hopper.

I see it as a possibility I don't like. Where are the Reds deepest right now? Who has a better catching tandem than Hernandez/Hanigan? Do you think they have been approached by other teams starving for same? Logic at this point seems to me that several teams would give something significant for Hanigan right now. Hitting .300, >50% gunning down runners.........

You could be right. Dusty is growing tired of being asked about why he doesn't play his bench players who are better than his starters. So maybe Hanigan needs to go.

Also, it was embarrassing to have an arguably better 1-2 in the AAA lineup with Hopper-Stubbs than Dusty has with Taveras-Gonzalez. Problem solved.

Another day in the life of a Reds fan. Wonder if Yankees, Cubs, Red Sox, Dodgers, etc. fans even know about rinky-dink transactions like this one.....

The problem is, we Reds fans are used to this being the ONLY kind of transactions made. This might be the big trade for the pennant drive.
