Wow, do they speculate much? I mean it do they ever actually hear real rumors or do they just take a shot in the dark just because something makes sense? Homer Bailey throws a gem, well must mean Arroyo is on his way out let's get something started and he will be.

It's from Gordon Edes, of Yahoo Sports (and formerly the Boston Globe). His exact quote is "Reds starter Bronson Arroyo(notes), who had no takers last season at the deadline, is on the block again, according to one NL executive …"

It is a very good site for rumors and transactions pertaining the trade/free agent market.

Yep. It's basically just a bunch of RSS feeds from accredited outlets, grouped into one. It's nice for a one-stop shop of information. Nothing more, nothing less.

There are kernels there to all stories as they usually get most of their rumors from well sourced insiders and writers, but they speculate A LOT. That is no fault of them but of their readers who fail to separate the actual rumor (ie Player X is being shopped) from the MLBTR speculation (ie Team Y would seem to have interest in Player X.) So then we get new "rumors" combine the original rumor with the speculation and then it goes downhill from there.

Credible is in the eye of the beholder.

Walt is doing the on the block off the block hokie pokie with Arroyo. After his last few starts I can't imagine too many teams looking to give up much for him. Add his carpal tunnel injury to the mix and he has almost no value to any big league team.
