Didn't see this posted anywhere on the board, but it's all over the internet:

Through their first 80 games, the Reds were 40-40 overall, 20-20 at home, 20-20 on the road, 36-36 in nine-inning games, 4-4 in extra inning games, 28-28 against right-handed pitchers, and 12-12 against left-handed pitchers.

Strange but true

Strange but true

They need to rename the phrase "Runs Above Average" to "Runs Above Reds"

Wow, that's bizarre. I wonder if something like that has happened before?

It's just further proof that the industrial-military complex is conspiring to take over the world through controlling our milk supply. They also send encrypted messages (http://www.uexpress.com/dearabby/?uc_full_date=20090708) in Dear Abby columns.

According to Dan Aykroyd in the movie "Sneakers," they kept Pete Rose out of the Hall of Fame.

Two thumbs up for the Seinfeld reference.

Actually, in spirit of the thread, one thumb up and one thumb down. See how it works? It all evens out for me.

I blame Bob Boone.

That's OK, because Bob Boone blames you.

I'm on the fence about this thread.

I see the season so far as a glass half empty, but I also see it as a glass half full.

As Demetri Martin points out (http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/62f250455c/demetri-martin-stand-up-presentation-from-demetri-martin)....we need to be more specific about the contents of the glass....

I blame Bob Boone.

I am pretty sure that we will always blame Bob Boone.

However, that got me thinking...

What would Dusty have to do to take the title from Bob?

well since Pete Rose and truth being stranger than fiction both mentioned in this thread I'd like to mention that I received my new Pete Rose jersey the other day and couldn't help but laugh when I saw the "Cooperstown Collection" tag on it.

Heh. I have a Pete Rose-signed ticket to the Hall of Fame.
