And if so, who comes back?

I voted yes, and the return will probably be someone we've never heard of. Reds pick up Arroyo's contract through the end of the season minus the minimum, Yankees on the hook for all of next year.

I say he goes for Kei Igawa and Austin Romine. Just a guess.

Honestly, don't care who they get back. Unloading his contract on somebody else is a big enough win if you can move him.

I think he goes, we pay some salary, and we get a decent A/AA prospect that most of us have never heard of.

Arroyo to the Yanks, a plate of knish and a bucket of balls to the Reds.
Or something like that.

I hope so but I doubt it, after all we are "still in it".

It matters if we get back unproductive salary.

I absolutely hate the Yankees...I hope he is not traded to them.

It's kinda funny that 3 members that voted that there wouldn't be a trade by the 7/31 deadline in the other thread voted that Arroyo would be traded, not only by 7/31, but with 3 days to spare.

Kei Igawa and Melkey Cabrera
I don't think they'd trade Melky with Brett Gardner on the DL.

Seriously, just tradingArroyo is going to be difficult. Getting something useful back? I'm skeptical it can be done.

I think it's basically find someone who'll take him and your gain is not having to pay him or trade an untradeable force for a resistable object and hope it fits better.
