Sounds to me like the Reds should have plenty of suitors for Weathers, Rhodes, and even Cordero should they so choose.


Many Teams Pursuing Sherrill

As many as eight teams are pursuing George Sherrill, according to Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports. Two or three of the teams are actively engaging the O's in trade talks.

The Angels are interested, as are the Dodgers, whose prospects appeal to Baltimore. Joel Sherman of the New York Post hears that the Dodgers are focused on trading for Sherrill now that Cliff Lee's off the market.

If nothing else, it will be tough for them to claim there wasn't enough of a market for relievers. Any specific suggestions in particular?

Sure they'll have some interest in Weathers/Rhodes. I just wouldn't expect anything in return. Which is why I'd keep Rhodes so we can have at least a couple relievers with real experience next year. But I have doubts about any interest in Cordero strictly because of that contract.
