View Full Version : Should We be in Touch With the Red Sox?

Their pitching staff is in a shambles right now. Smoltz got hammered last night and he looks like he's done. No telling when Dice-K will be back nor if he'll be right when he does come back. These guys need a starter and we just happen to have this cat named Bronson Arroyo available who was once a member of the BoSox and loved it there. If they don't want Bronson back, I could see us sending Harang over, although I'd prefer we not do that.

Just seems too obvious to me..thoughts?

I'm all for that. The question is wheter the Sox think Arroyo or Harang will make things better or worse.

No way they deal Bay. We'd be getting prospects back. And one of them would not be Buchholz.

More like Arroyo, Wood, and Dickerson for Buchholz...

Bay is to big of a part of thier offense. He will more than likely resign in the offseaon as they are one of the few teams who would be willing to overpay for him...

If I were Jocketty I would make that deal all day everyday... I just doubt Theo Epstein would.

Epstein's way too smart to do that one. Tempting, perhaps, but he'd have to be absolutely desperate.
