Here's what we should do:

1) Lose the rest of the games this season
2) Finish last in MLB
3) Let the Natinals not sign Strasburg
4) Get #1 pick next year
5) Sign Strasburg
6) Collect underpants
7) ???
8) Profit

I think this team should get Yu Darvish from Japan!

I would love for us to finish last or 2nd to last if the Nats dont sign Strasburg.

That would be awesome... But would Bob C open the checkbook for 40 Million?

40 million? no but my feelings are if he wants that much and wont sign after not signing the year before then he can crash and burn.

I think the Nationals are already to 25 million on a Contract that makes him on the opening day roster next year and Boras wants more...

I don't understand the reason for drafting Strasburg. No matter what, until any of these players reaches the majors, they are still prospects. Nothing is guaranteed, it's just like drafting a QB top 10 in the NFL draft. Why pay a prospect that much money?

This isnt basketball or football...#1 pick in the draft most of the time doesnt end up a star.

I thought losing out was the strategy from the beginning every time I hear "leading off for the Reds the centerfielder...Willy Taveres" That Dusty is mighty slick.

Too bad signing Strasburg won't happen, he was signed just before midnight.
