the little pop-up mix-up earlier got me thinking......I've read some stuff about these 2 not really being close. Is it just that........they're not close ? or is there bad blood there ? and if so, why ?

FWIW, I blame the pop-up mess on Joey. That was Brandon's ball all the way. Fortunately, no damage done.

Brandon gets *****y with anyone that gets more press than he does. He really believes he is the franchise

hahahaha...this was my thought. Who really cares if Votto and Brandon have tea together. As long as they play well, I could care less.

This is probably the reason why we're having such a crappy season.

...............but if they're letting easy pop fly outs drop (such as last night) because they aren't communicating, then it does matter. No ?

I blame Gookie Dawkins, Tim Belk, and Deion Sanders for the failures this year!

Of course, but again I doubt any rift between them would cause something like that...I think that is a real stretch. And if it was a factor, then again, where is this wonderful handler of players manager we are supposed to have?

People on a team this bad probably aren't going to be very close or friendly with eachother. Situations like this are when fingerpointing occurs.

Regardless of bad blood or whatnot, Jonny Gomes is your stabilizing presence in the clubhouse. He is just a big old teddy bear. Ever seen him after a walk off? LOL
