Red hot walk-up music

Have you ever wondered what music Reds players enter the game or walk to the plate to? Look no further. Some of the players choose music and others have songs assigned to them by the Reds game entertainment staff. Here is the current list of players' walk-up/enter the game music, as of 9/14/2009 (thanks to Reds media production manager Dave Storm for the list). As you can see, some players have more than one selection for multiple at-bats or to be rotated throughout the game. A player's choice in music may remain the same for the entire season or change game-to-game. Enjoy! I can't wait for the "Reds walk-up music" playlist on iTunes.

Idk 45 by Shinedown for Bronson and Best of You by Foo Fighters for Hanigan are nice

Scott Rolen is the only one with any musical taste.

If Limp Bizkit is the mark of musical taste...

Thank you for this. Even though Jay Bruce's songs are hideous

09-15-2009, 02:30 PM
This is why we suck.

09-15-2009, 05:10 PM
Lol @ bruce with "on a boat." Didn't they used to play 'let me down' by e.l.o., or was i just imagining?

09-15-2009, 06:44 PM
I think you can tell who picks there own and who does not. Bruce I am sure picked on a boat. And I am pretty sure Janish wants to see himself as a rockstar but..... and Phillips most likely picked everyone of his.

Based on this, Ryan Hanigan is -- by a wide margin -- my new favorite Red.

Craig Tatum and Danny Ray are also allowed to hang out at my house and have full jukebox priveliges.

Everybody else on the roster? No invites for you, unless you admit that your choice of Theme Song is ironic in the pro-wrestling/showboat-y sense, and you promise to pick something better next time.

Scott Rolen is the only one with any musical taste.

Sarcasm? If not, then you fail.

Man our guys have no musical taste whatsoever...well Tatum would be an exception cause of the Stones.

My batter music would depend on the number of ABs.

1st AB Nighttrain-GNR
2nd AB Stranglehold-Ted Nugent
3rd AB Live Wire-Motley Crue
4th AB Voodoo Chile-Jimi Hendrix

I've been working on a playlist for this season and here's what I have so far...

Brandon Phillips-Do the Ricky Bobby (B-Hamp)
Orlando Cabrera-Already Home (Jay-z)
Joey Votto-Miss Me (Drake)
Scott Rolen-Viva la Vida (Coldplay)
Jonny Gomes-Burn it to the Ground (Nickleback)
Drew Stubbs-Hysteria (Muse)
Jay Bruce-Over (Drake)
Paul Janish-Ain't Going Down (Garth Brooks)
Miguel Cairo-Sex on Fire (Kings of Leon)

I am missing the other song BP uses, the new one Stubbs started using this past homestand, Hernandez, Hanigan, and Nix.

Votto just switched to Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana during the Atlanta series.

08-02-2010, 07:40 PM

Coco should walkout to Lady Gaga Pokerface.....

08-03-2010, 12:53 PM
Who would be best served using the song Got You Where I Want You by the Flys?

08-03-2010, 12:59 PM
This is ironic. After the Colorado series, I was dying to know what song Cabrera's was. I heard it on the radio on the way home and they said it was Jay Z lol. My favorite is Bruce's. I love the intro to that song.

Heres a list from Operation Sports I found last week http://www.operationsports.com/forums/sounds-show/408119-cininnati-reds-10-bat-music.html

During Monday night's game, I finally realized that Leake's song is a cover of "Bad Company" by Five Finger Death Punch.
