Post your prediction on how you think Chris Valaika will do in 2010. Use any stats you wish*. I'll compile the results and (attempt to) generate an "average" result for everyone to mock, deride, praise and engage in "I told you so-ism" one year from now. I'll try to put up one player every couple of days which should get us close to spring training.

Note: I think I'll leave this "open" to revision until just before opening day.

The pitchers can be seen here (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AhK48pvcNP66dE1XMjJoQjNUMkVWdEp3VUZGeFcwc 3c&hl=en).

The hitters can be seen here (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AhK48pvcNP66dE95b1NQT0JxRG5vaW1wOXZoaWFiM 1E&hl=en).

Please try to make projections/predictions/guesses for the players with the fewest number of projections/predictions/guesses as noted by the "#" column on the right of the spreadsheet.

Nate, I think Maloney's ERA is messed up in your spreadsheet

30 plate appearances in a september call up.

.312/.400/.423 for a .823 OPS in his audition. 2 homeruns. 1 stolen base. 5 doubles.

It's just a lack of projections. The ERA figure at the top is based on the average amount of earned runs and innings pitched. Since I've only got one projection of earned runs, it comes out funny like that. I'll have to figure out something when I do the summary.

Or get more predictions!

Not a sniff of major league time. Gotta save PAs for Aaron Miles.

I could use a few more projections for Mr. Valaika please. It's OK to say "he won't be with the club this year." I just have to figure out how to make that a factor.
