Per ctrent blog Dusty has said Lincoln has been moved back to the bullpen.

So does this mean that Lincoln is guaranteed to be in the bullpen for Opening Day, or just that he'll be in the bullpen for the rest of Spring Training?

With all the better 5th starter candidates, it was a far-fetched waste of time to begin with, IMHO.

The bullpen is now overflowing.

It's about time. Step one complete.

Now, somebody explain the idea of "sunken cost" to the FO, and let them cut him next. Too many younger, better options to go around out there.

If he pitches well through ST, he could be traded for something. I like that fact we have "too much" talent on this roster. That's how it should be, not grasping at straws and the waivier wire to fill roster spots like we normally do.

That was really strange that they'd even consider Lincoln as a starter. I have no idea what that was about unless Lincoln came up to them and asked specifically if he could have a chance.

Well, he got his chance. Now go back to where you belong, Mike.

My guess is they were trying him out hoping to increase his trade value. With all the moves Cast and Walt made I really don't see him on the opening day roster, they will put the best players on the roster.

Now,instead of every 5th day,Dusty can use him whenever he wants.

I hope for a trade soon for a catcher and Lincoln is part of the deal!

Is Lincoln even guaranteed to be a part of the roster on Opening Day?

I wouldn't think so. Ondrusek has done nothing in my eyes but affirm he is the better choice of the two. Younger, cheaper, controllable for 6 years. Had a GB rate near 2 last year. Only thing that concerns me, is that he only struck out 47 in 72 Innings. Kinda odd for someone who throws 86 to 97 with movement.
