We had just gotten the best player in the game. We were going to field a world series champion when we opened up the new ballpark in 2003. We had the hottest manager in the game after he took the reds to 96 wins the year before and barley missed the playoffs. Cinergy Field tickets were gold because of the Griffey acquisition. What happened?? Nothing panned out. We haven't had a winning season since that time, we've fielded 6 different managers, and attendance is on the decline. Can the city of Cincinnati afford us to look back 10 years from now without success? I think the pressure is starting to build or attendance will continue to decline and this franchise could be in trouble. One thing for certain though, no one does opening day like Cincinnati. Go Redlegs!!!!
