9 pitches now. Really battling. He's a really good looking young player.

I would gladly give them Phillips for him... (he came up as a 2b, and will move there if Uggla ever gets moved most likely)

Listening to Rolen on the postgame, he should manage some day.

Or announce if he's really smart. A lot more money, a lot less grief.

Scott Rolen is an awesome addition to this team. Great interview there and I'm thrilled that he had a good night.

Mad Props: Scott Rolen, the Reds bullpen, Jay Bruce (slump breaking game?), Brandon for the bunts, Joey (plate patience seems to be back), and for the never say die attitude they all seemed to have tonight. :D

For the out of towers...Extra Innings seems to be giving me more postgame than before...i appreciate that.

Big win. Really need a winning trip and that would have been a tough loss.

Interesting that the HD channel on DirecTV cuts off right after the game and you have to watch the postgame in regular definition, unfortunatelyh.

I thought we were toast going to the bottom of the 9th. Marlins are the king of walk offs. Great way to start the trip.

That was a fun game to watch. The Reds seem to be coming up on the right side of the close ones so far...hopefully they keep it up!

It's because of Cairo. He's a winner. He knows how to win. He's been there before... ;)

So I went back and found Votto doing the John Wall dance, but I have no idea how to rip it from mlb.com. Anybody who wants to see it can go to the 1:35 mark on the Marlins broadcast and it'll show it.

Here's a screencap:

As that win expectancy chart shows, what a herky-jerky game, and a very nice little W for the Redlegs. 4 hour marathon kicking off a road trip, coming back from an embarrassing defensive gaffe and a bases-loaded full-count precipice -- mucho positivo.

Kudos to the vets -- Rolen and Cabrera -- for 3 long balls off a tough righthander.
