From Jamie Ramsey:
FIRE-BREATHING DRAGONS
For just the second time in franchise history, the Dayton Dragons have opened the season 5-0...the 5 straight wins matches their longest winning streak of 2009 (July)...the Dragons are 1 of only 4 teams in all of the minors with a 5-0 mark...coincidentally, Dayton's division rival Lake County also boasts a 5-0 mark.
JON ADKINS SAVES
Bats closer Jon Adkins has 32 career saves while wearing a Louisville uniform, good for 6th on the franchise's all-time list...with his next save, he will tie Rich Batchelor and Steve Dixon...the all-time saves leader in Louisville club history is Mark Grater with 39.

I like that 2-5 in the Lynchburg lineup.
My guess is Mesoraco will be in Carolina by June if he shows any ability to hit consistently in Lynchburg. There is too much of a logjam with Coddington in Dayton and Soto trying to learn to catch in Lynchburg.

Mesoraco is 1-for-3 with a double. Soto is 1-for-3.
Note on Mesoraco's double - it was a blooper that landed just out of reach of the 2B and SS, and no one was covering and Mesoraco took the base. Smart play.

Dave Sappelt singled and stole second for Lynchburg in the bottom of the 8th. Fellhauer lined out though to end the inning. Heading to the 9th and Lynchburg is down 2-1. 3-4-5 due up in the bottom, so lets hope that Horst can keep it that way.

How does Horst look in relief, doug? Has he added a few mph to his fastball? Is his movement improved any?

Benzinger had a hunch about Means, and boy has he been right!
Cozart with a single and a stolen base to lead off the 7th
