Any idea how Soto is doing behind the plate defensively or anything?

I don't think he has been challenged by any runners or bunts yet. I am listening and don't recall hearing his name other than when he is hitting.

Lynchburg is up 3-0 after an RBI groundout by Fellhauer and a wild pitch also plates a run. Still in the bottom of the 5th.

Fairel: 6 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K

4-0 Lynchburg after 5 1/2 innings.

Fairel's six innings were perfect, save for an error by Jose Gualdron--who has made up for it with two doubles.

I can't imagine that Fairel is long for Lynchburg.

It at least looks like that Fairel was comfortable throwing to him. Plus catching a LHP who throws alot of breaking pitches in your first professional start as a catcher is impressive in it's own right.

I love Soto as a catcher, but he's also got to find his stick again at some point.

Was at the Bats game tonight. Brad Lincoln looked very good for Indianapolis. I'd wager he finally makes it to Pittsburgh this summer.

The Bats bats looked lethargic all night long, but a good pitcher can do that to you.

Wood, much like Leake, had two hits and pitched a solid game. Del Rosario looked AWFUL.

Yep, the Bats game pretty much sucked. I know the offense will come around but right now it's pathetic.

Pretty lousy start for most of the Louisville hitters, but how long until Chris Burke gets released? 30 year-old guys in AAA generally don't have much room for 1-for-17 starts.
