Take a drink everytime he says UHM HUM. You will be wasted by the bottom of the second.

Personally I take a drink every time he screws up a count, a score, a name, or who is coming up in the next inning.

Uhm Hum.

Paul Keels is hideous, it makes me cringe when I turn the game on and see that he's on there.

I thought Keels was only going to do like 40 games to give Thom a breather? It seems like he's already down half of them.

He is in a word...terrible. It's obvious he doesn't know a damn thing about baseball. And I don't just mean the Saber vs. Joe Morgan kind of know. I mean the basic rules, like three strikes and 4 balls kind of stuff. I swear I heard him say a 3-3 count earlier this year.

Before he got the job the Reds should've made him take a Scantron test with baseball questions.

How many innings are in a game? How many outs are in an inning? And the like.

If they did Hoard would've gotten the job.

How did FSN get off giving the Reds Job to the voice of Ohio State instead of the Voice of UC?

lol I heard him say a 2-3 count before.. It may have been even occurred during a Luis Pujols at-bat, but I'm not sure.

Haha, I was actually going to make a thread about this because of how annoying it was. Perhaps the drinking game will mellow my attitude toward Keels.

I watched Keels early during some Reds losses and thought maybe he would sound better if winning. Nope...he doesnt ! Very very boring !

Every time he says 'checks his swing, in time,' double shot when he says it when they dont even appeal it

I don't keep up with Ohio State too much, but is he as bad for them as he is for the Reds?

Neither do I, but I can't imagine he could be any worse.

And a nice Jim Kelch comment from the Cards series,''Go ahead run at 3rd,tying run at 1st.''He's no better than Keels imo.

He's never called Albert Pujols "Luis," and he doesn't sound like he's on Valium.

Haha, reminds me of a girl a teammate dated one year, she came to all the games, but was dumb. After first innning we were up 1-0, she came and asked score, told her that. We scored a couple more, she came up to the dugout and asked the score, told her 3-0, she asked if we were still winning....

Football-not that good

Basketball-actually really good, definatly his strongest sport in my opinion. I think its because thiers not as much down time as thier is in football and baseball so he can just call the action and doesnt have to fill dead time with irrelevant chatter.

I thought Keels was only going to do like 40 games to give Thom a breather?Keels is contracted to work 45 games on TV. Thom is contracted to work the other 100 TV games.

Last year it was George with 100 games and Thom with 45.

It seems like he's done 45 already--although he has been getting more entertaining, even if he's not screwing up any less.

I am amazed at his knowledge of Reds history for this being his first year as a broadcaster for the Reds. It probably helps that he grew up a Reds fan.

Yeah I agree, hes a great basketball radio announcer. And I don't mind him in football either, I actually think hes fairly good at it. But I agree hes terrible doing the Reds games
