I couldn't be happier for the guy. It was a real shame that he never got to be the player we all hoped that he could be.

I'm not sure why they have him playing LF. With the arm he has you'd think you'd keep him in right.

This is the legacy of Austin Kearns. If memory serves me, as he climbed through the Reds system, I don't remember that he had a healthy season. If he did, it was no more than one. Maybe his Rookie League year at Billings?

On another note, Alex Gonzalez hit his 8th HR of the season yesterday, matching his total for the 2009 season.

Reminds me of '07 when he had 10 HR's for us after May. Then proceeded to get hurt and never do anything.

Nice last at-bat by Kearns with the tying runs on board last night.

BTW, Kearns isn't having a very good May.
