I'd heard he was in a coma.

Different Strokes was an interesting show in its day.

What about the housekeeper (name escapes me) that they had after Mrs. Garrett went on to The Facts of Life.

Dixie Carter (deceased) and Danny Cooksey (?) were additions to the family near the end of the show's run.

I'll always remember the episode of Different Strokes when Willis told Muhammad Ali that Coleman's character was dying so Ali would come visit them

Her name was "Pearl" on the show. A friend told me that she has had the best post-Diffrent Strokes career out of anybody as she's gone into voice-over work. Can anyone confirm this?

If you have kids you likely have heard her voice hundreds of times.

She is Mrs Puff on Spongebob Square Pants.

Someone should tell her that Ali has pretty much all of his mental faculties intact.

Wonder why she was so eager to pull the plug on poor Gary? :(

Just hours after Shannon Price decided to pull the plug and end Gary Coleman's life -- the actor's ex-wife was already smiling and posing for photos.

TMZ has learned the photos seen here were taken on May 29 -- just one day after Gary died. The woman smiling with Shannon is Sheila Erickson -- an agent who worked with both Shannon and Gary. The photos were taken around the same time she sat down with a camera crew and did an interview about Gary's death. We're told Shannon wanted to do the interview "to get her side of the story out" -- amongst speculation that she may have killed Gary.

Well, this certainly doesn't look good.

http://news-briefs.ew.com/2010/06/02/gary-coleman-divorced-at-time-of-death/

Gary Coleman’s former lawyer claims the actor was divorced from Shannon Price at the time of his death on May 28, People reports. Randy Kester claims the pair’s marriage ended on Aug. 12, 2008, which raises questions about Price’s legal right to take Coleman off life support. “We’re definitely concerned about this and we’re looking into what exactly happened here,” Janet Frank, a spokesperson for the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center — the hospital in which Coleman passed away — told People. “Shannon certainly portrayed herself as his wife to our staff and doctors. We assumed she was telling the truth. We can’t comment on specific details in Mr. Coleman’s case, but in general, any patient on life support is thoroughly evaluated medically before life support is ended.”

(CNN) -- Gary Coleman's living will called for the actor to be kept alive unless he was in an irreversible coma for at least 15 days, according to a court document.

Coleman's ex-wife Shannon Price ordered his doctor to disconnect life support just a day after he fell into a coma last month, according to the Utah Valley Regional Medical center.
