Very disappointing inning. Cueto completely out of gas in the sixth. First he can't find the strike zone, then he grooves a bunch of pitches.

Yes, Phillips might have made a DP but the ball was smoked.

Bench is ok. Need Stubbs' glove for late innings, can't hit for him there. Could have used Nix.

He's got something like a 1.000 OPS in the 7 hole. Whether or not he's actually a better player now, I don't know, but he sure has hit well.

Nah, Rhodes is too old for 6 outs. If Rhodes can retire the next 3 he faces...Masset should have a pretty easy task if called upon (though that doesn't mean he will handle it well).

Calling ball and strike is more difficult than it looks. But the only thing players ask is to be consistent. Umps both nights this series have not been that at all.

Seriously. If you're going to have a small strike zone, at least have it for both teams but this ump has been all over the place and it's highly annoying. Consistancy is ALL the players want and I don't think that's too much to ask.

I'd blame the strike zone on the camera angle....but the Reds pitchers aren't getting the same calls. It's just beyond absurd the last 2 nights.

Maybe we are all biased, lets remember that. However the strike zone has been much different for the two teams in these last two games. The Reds hitters have had many, many called strikes that Cards hitters have not.

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, but I don't think so.....
