Balentien struggled mightily upon arriving in Louisville, probably due to the fact that he went two weeks without playing after being DFA'd, but he has hit well since the beginning of May. In 34 atbats in April, Balentien hit a putrid .118/.231/.235 - .466 OPS. In May, he hit .287/.336/.543 - .879 OPS in 94 atbats. He's off to a nice start in June with a 3-run HR today.

I still think he has a chance to be a decent major leaguer.

In happier news, the Mudcats are leading the Mike Stanon -led Jax Suns 4-0 in the 7th. Scott Carroll continues to put up good numbers. His ERA now stands at 1.06 after 3 starts in AA

Maloney did not throw well at all today. he was struggling to find the zone, and none of his stuff looked good. They really hit him hard as well.

Santana is the real deal, and will be up with the Indians soon.

Balentien looked real good swinging the bat, as did Cozart.

Alonso had a play that was nice over at first on a bad throw. nice to see as he gets criticized for his D.

Carroll is becoming an intriguing guy to follow. He should at least be on the radar.

Sutton in the #1 hole.

I wonder if that's Sweet's idea or that came from above.

Final was 10-7

Poor Todd Frazier again. He did hit one very well but it was to the deepest part of the park.

I wonder if Maloney is frustrated that he keeps getting denied a call-up.

Jordan Hotchkiss got a start tonight and pitched very well (though only four innings) in Lynchburg's 4-3 victory. Kevin Coddington had three hits.
