It's sad that you can basically chalk up a loss in a tie game when you go to our crap bullpen.

hey look, its back to the old reds. WTF stubbs, you moron

Yea darn that stubbs for being able to cover left field and right field, call Gomes off and still get his glove on it instead of gomes.

with the braves winning 80 games in a row the reds will now have to contend with the phillies for a wildcard spot.. how do u see that going

Reds
06-04-2010, 10:14 PM
The Nats bullpen isn't exactly A+++, so we have a chance. keep it at two runs and let the heart of the order come back up. they still need 3 outs.

I'd like to know what the experts are saying about Ramon's bat speed. His ratios are good but he absolutely can not catch up to anything above his knees and harder than 92 MPH.

There's a lot of guys who would have trouble catching up to 95-96 mph in that spot.

No that's all on Gomes. That is the CF's ball if he is anywhere near that ball. There's a reason he's the CF and you always defer to him.

I'm not just griping about that AB against Storen, by and large Ramon can't hit any fastball high in the zone, been that way a long time, but it seems more so this year.

That's why I hate the Braves. 15 or so years of dominance during the regular season (and choking in the playoffs), they have 1 mediocre season and Heyward falls into their laps.

One pick before the Reds.

Now they're "back".

Wooden is still alive. Of course, it depends on how you define "rest comfortably".

Guys, did you really think we would be in 2nd place on June 5th this season? Did you think we would be ahead this far of the Cubs and Brewers? Baseball has it's mysteries and ups and downs. Before this 2 game spell of stellar defense by the opposition and untimely luck (as well as two Gomes misplays) the Reds were right there on top for everyone to see as one of the best young teams this year. Our pitching has still been great, it will all come around again. They faced a tough pitcher two games in a row. Hernandez is tough at home and Carpenter is ridiculous as well. I am not going to base failures this season on previous years, this club is totally different. Ups and downs, highs and lows. That is baseball my friends. Take a breath and forget the past.:beerme:

Oh gawd. The be happy were better than last year posts have started.

And actually, it wasn't one of those types at all. Never said that. I simply put that the team is exceeding the expectations of many.

People get greedy with the winning aspect. So the loses, albeit fewer, seem even worse when they take place.
