......yesterday in relief of Roenicke. He only pitched one inning. Gave up a walk and then a 2 run dinger.

He needs more time.

I was at the Bats game yesterday, and that HR was an absolute bomb. Burton got hit pretty hard and didn't look all that good. He still needs some time.

The bullpen guys in Louisville are like the backup QB on a losing team... Lol...

Burton or Brey aren't saving this pen. Either use minor league starters in the pen, or trade the minor league starters for decent pen guys. Sheesh.

I thought we traded Roenicke when we picked up Rolen

Did we get him back?

Big Deal. Burton gave up a 2-run homer.

It happens.

Burton's been pitching great lately.

Burton also is now going two innings at a time as he recovers from his injury.

Burton and Bray will improve the bullpen.

We traded "Josh" Roenicke. This is a different Roenicke.

One way or another, the bullpen is going to better come August. I fully expect Volquez, a couple of our AAA starters, and Bray/Burton to help down the stretch.

That is unless there's a move to shore up the bullpen through trade, which will come at the expense of losing some good prospects. I would hope we can make due in the next 2 months with what we have, not having to give up anybody.
