Since when is Zito tearing it up? Should be a good pitching matchup.

Anyone else here have the mlb.tv feed? They were just showing some very brief highlights of Reds victories this season, and toward the end of it Dusty is seen losing his toothpick as he celebrated victory. He looks down for the toothpick, then looks over at someone else as if "WTF happened to it?" :D

The announcers can't seem to make up their minds on what types of pitches Cueto is throwing. In the same sentence it went from breaking ball to changeup to slider. Which is it? I thought it was a breakup, but not a lot of break to it.

I agree, we need to be willing to go to the bullpen early if Cueto falters and gives up more hits. Just because it's a one run game doesn't mean his leash is longer, I hope.

Oh yeah hernandez was on the base paths. he barely got to third on that hit. LOL.

Im 25 yrs old. 6'2 and 230lbs retired athlete and i think i could easily run just as fast as hernandez if not beat him out. i was by no means considered fast in highschool. it amazes me that somebody with that kind of speed can play in the majors.

Well he did a hell of a job getting out of that inning.

not to mention his May is a lot of the reason were in 1st place right now.

Yes, yes, and yes.

He may have a bad June, but there's only one way to learn, and that's to go through trials and tribulations.

He threw the best outing since Tom Browning's Perfect Game. That's a lot of pitchers to go through before seeing something like that.

He's got the ability to do it again.

He's going to be a Starter on this staff for several years and he's going to win a lot of games.

He didn't have his stuff tonight. In the past, that meant that he'd only make it through 4 innings. But, he completed 6 innings tonight while only giving up 4 runs. That's a huge improvement for Cueto. He's learning to pitch like a Veteran.

You all see bad things from tonight's outing.

I see great things from tonight's outing.

Next time he pitches and he has half-way decent stuff, he'll go 7 or 8 innings giving Arthur Rhodes a night off and take another step forward.
