Tonight will be game 600 played at GABP. The Reds are 300-298-1 through 599.

San Francisco is 27-6 when scoring four or more runs in a game and 4-19 when scoring fewer than four runs. They've also posted a 22-5 record when scoring a game's first run.

Bruce WAS the hot hand last night.

And he cannot replace Gomes with Heisey because he's replacing him with Nix tonight.

So basically, the hot hand last night, Bruce, is back in the lineup with 2 guys coming off the bench.

The tie (I'm sure) was a result of a tied rain delayed game that was never made up due to irrelevancy. It likely came against the pirates.

I'm watching the NATS game to start the night, first time I haven't started with the Reds game this year.

is that Bob Costas on the mike!

You can't stand Bob Costas? Why? Is he too arrogant for you? I used to think that but he's awful knowledgeable and hearing him on the Dan Patrick show brought me around even more.

Lightning in a bottle is what that Strasburg kid is. amazing action on every pitch I saw him throw.

Rough numbers, rough play. He's better than that.

It wasn't close. He argued that the 1st basemen foot was pulled off the bag on the stretch. it wasn't. he was grasping for something to disagree about, because he made a bad base running error.

I'd say most of our base running errors come between 1st and 2nd. a disproportional amount probably.

There are dozens and dozens of sites.

They are so cheap now. There's no market whatsoever. They're practically giving them away.

In 3100+ career Plate Appearances with two strikes on him, Adam Dunn OPS'd a whopping .578. I would say whatever approach he was taking with two strikes on him didn't work too well. With two strikes on him he was Willy Taveras.

True. The rest of the game is the mental part. If the REDS can get him to where he's comfortable, he can become a great asset. Don't know any other way to do that though than to throw him out there in situations like this.

The team just has to take some losses so teams like "the REDS" can get quality players instead of buying them like "the Yankees" and "the Cardinals".
