Bailey gives up a run in the 2nd inning.

A 2-out RBI-Double.

Follows that with a walk and an RBI-Single and a Wild Pitch and a 2-RBI-Single.

4-0 Louisville down.

Looks like Bailey might not get through 5 innings if he's on an 80-pitch count.

Rememebr when they could hit?

Feels like forever ago. This year's farm system has been bleh IMO, except for Chapman. And even he's had some real clunkers in his last few outings.

I don't mind seeing them struggle at all. Let's see if they can struggle and learn to make adjustments.

Louisville, Carolina and Lynchburg all lost again. But on the bright side . . . they all led in the eighth inning!

This is getting sooooo oooold. And there is no relief in sight, so to speak.

Alonso is concerning. Maybe he should go back to AA? I can't see the Reds doing that, but I feel like it could be a good thing.

Frazier is slowly but surely coming around it looks like at least.

Like, retired from baseball? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on it. I might be misunderstanding you though.

At the moment, I'd like to see Cozart make those adjustments. His OBP is 70 points higher than his BA so that's not a problem but he just needs to get a few more hits here and there and the Reds have slick fielding SS with some pop. But hitting around .240 doesn't scream call me up for the full time job in 2011. If he was around .280 he'd be a tremendous asset that could fit in the Reds lineup and contribute. But I guess adding 40 points to their average is what a lot of guys could use.

Yep, retired from baseball. Carolina's PBP man reported it on twitter.

He nneds to learn here. He'll struggle and adjust. He's not over his head here.

A demotion would be demoralizing and be very negative to his growth.

I didn't think his promotion back up a month or so ago was warranted. He was only batting in the 260's here when he left.

The Mudcats starters have put two starts back to back where they went seven innings. I believe this is only the sixth and seventh starts that have gone seven innings all year. Tom Cochran is a guy that isn't getting any help and is pitching very well. Carroll has pitched well also.

I don't see this team being ready to challenge in this league any time soon.

Well, Yonder came up because of injuries to Dorn and Francisco. They should both be back within 2 weeks. He might be sent back down.
