Freese and Rasmus still MIA. They have Aaron Freaking Miles in the 2 hole. Wainright may need another Shutout to win this one!

If the Cardinals lose tonight we may have to have a game thread for them every night the rest of the season.

My fantasy team has Kershaw going tonight, and Pujols on the other side. Oh, who to root for? ;)

Mr. Wainwrong left a fat one out there for Manroid to hammer for only his 5th HR of the season. 2-1 L.A. after one.

The Cardinals have fewer than one hits so far. I like that. I keep hearing about how St. Louis is so much better thant the Reds, but I really don't see it.

Wainwright is scared of Manroid and walks him on four straight pitches.

Dodgers tack on two more. Looking good.

Ahhh...Miles puts the Kybosh the no-no. And Pophols does his thing.

Ludwick needs to be treated like AP and visa versa. 4-3 Dodgers after that blast.

Poopholes and Thanksgiving have each walked once. Obviously the Dodgers aren't going to let them beat them.

4-3 mid 5. Felipe Lopez grounds into a double play. Hopefully the Dodgers have enough for the sweep in 'em.

middle of the 7th, still 4-3. Kershaw has 10 K's.

I would guess that is all for Kershaw. Six more outs and the Reds are atop the division alone. =)

And I'm fairly sure the Redbirds have the day of tomorrow. So we'd have a chance to pad it to 1.5 if everything holds in LA.

bottom of 8, still 4-3.

That rally fizzled out in the bottom of the 7th, so it is on to the 8th with Los Angeles clinging to a one-run lead.

LA has 'em on the corners, none out, bottom of 7, Casey Blake with a chance to break it wide open right here. But Manroid, idiot that he is gets himself caught in no mans land. That play could be an ass biter.

Ugh. Watching the dodgers not get the run in this situation reminds me of some of our not so distant-past teams.

Cardinals go quietly in the 8th. Dodgers need to tack on an insurance run or two.

Looks like it could be Broxton facing the heart of the Cardinals' lineup for the second night in a row.

Have either of the 2 gazillionaires had a hit in this series? If even one of them gets on I have a feeling that Ludwick will make it interesting. I wonder what Torre's strategy will be?

Albert leads off the Cardinals 9th, meat of the order for the Dodgers to contend with. LA is trying to send St. Louis home unhappy for the 4th consecutive game.

Albert singles. First hit of the series for him. Now 2-12 against LA closer.

Ludwick and Holliday fly out. 2 out.

After a double it's now second and third, down 1 with 2 outs.

Ground rule double holds Pujols at third. Yay.

Dodgers win. Cards booted from first place.

Reds

Dodgers sweep the second place Cards. :D

Ground rule double saved the day, Cards would have tied it on the double!!!

First sweep of St. Louis at Dodger stadium since 1988.

my wife used to be a Cardinal fan, I won her over.

She realized my mood was much better when the Reds win.
