Rolen is given the day off, and Phillips has leg soreness.

Ouch, a super Sunday Special against Grienke. Hope St. Louis loses or LeCure has some shutout ball in him

This is a time where I just don't agree with giving Rolen the day off. They have an off day tomorrow and need today's game to win the series, and Phillips is out with sore legs. But, who knows.

This is not the same Greinke that won the Cy Young last year. He has an era over 4 and has 8 losses. We need a good start from lecure and we should be fine.

Yeah, lots of late money being thrown at the Royals. I don't bet, and I certainly wouldn't bet on regular season baseball, it's too random.

The seats behind home plate come with free food and drink every inning (except for the tip you give at the end of the game). Those people are too busy eating and drinking everything they can instead of not watching the game.

I have a friend who's family has tickets behind home plate. He took 3 of us (friends) down to a game last year. You go early and down behind home plate behind the seats is a restaurant. They have a buffet you get to eat at. Also a bar. It's all prepaid with your tickets.

Then when you're watching the game, the waiters come out and ask you if you want anything to eat or drink each inning. Seriously.

My problem was, I figured I'd never get the chance to sit there again, so I felt the need to order something every chance I got. Needless to say, I was stuffed at the end of the game.

In my OOTP 11 season, Bruce just went down with an injury, and I already have lost Rolen for the season due to an injury (he's out for 8 months). Despite it all, the Reds just under a week ago had the 4th best power ranking in all of baseball, and they're only 2 1/2 games back of the Cardinals. Votto is hitting .356 with 6 HR's and 22 RBI's, while Gomez is "scrappy" with a .215 BAVG, 4 HR's and 15 RBI's.

Hanigan making progress with thumb injury

CINCINNATI -- Ryan Hanigan said X-rays on Friday "looked pretty good," and he continues to build towards a return from a fractured left thumb.

"Now it's just getting my swing back together," Hanigan said. "I'll start playing light catch next week and see how it feels and then make an evaluation mid-week about if I can start catching pitchers or not."

I would think sooner. I don't know what "next week" is, but it's probably this week because the quote came on saturday, i think. that said the thumb affects more than just catching, it effects grip on the bat too. so, it's up in the air.

The bad news is Thursday is a day game after a Wed. night game. That means no Rolen and probably a few other guys. So we'll get two Sunday special lineups this week. And 3 Sunday Specials in 7 games.

Damaging Rey Hererra needs to jump on the first bus to Louisville when this game is over. Then, once he gets there, for fun, he can send the bus driver out to the back of the parking lot and, once it's picked up 75 MPH speed, send Damaging to the back of the bus, have him cork off a heater, and see if the bus runs out of gas before the ball hits the driver.

Folks, I hate to say I told you so.....wait, I actually love it. Anyways, I was saying all last season that Damaging was a mirage and would not sustain long-term success on the ML level.
