So Logan can get guys out.. but not induce double plays..

Furcal is robbing us this inning.

Ondrusek isn't the "groundball" pitcher like Jordan Smith and Del Rosario. You're likely giving up the run of the guy on 3rd by putting Ondrusek in there with one out.

Kingspoint

I guess they didn't want Jordan Smith's first batter that he faced in the majors to be Manny Ramirez.

That's what I was thinking.

92 will

I would agree with that, so that would mean we only need to play 4-5 games over .500 the remainder of the schedule. That's the silver lining here. And a weak central when we get back to it. Also the last several weeks of the year, if we can hang around, the schedule favors us over the Cards.

trying to be positive down almost double digits at midnight.

Owings faced 10 batters and threw 53 pitches. How is he suited to long relief? He needs to go down to Louisville to learn how to play the outfield. He throws too many pitches to each batter he faces. That isn't conducive to going a long way.

Yes, earlier in the season, but not with the games coming up. This offense is WORN OUT (that's why Phillips has elected to keep playing despite an injury, there's no one to pick up the slack) after 'bouncing back' from so many deficits. It has simply caught up with them. And, it gets worse only because Walt hasn't done anything all this time to really alleviate the problem.

texasdave

I am looking at intermediate goals at this time.

1)someone reach base (stubbs reaches on infield single) CHECK

2)get runner in scoring position

3)score a run
