Looks like something from a sci-fi movie. I expect a spaceship to burst through those clouds.

I imagine the debate was rather short and one-sided.

I don't see what the big deal is. They could just play with their 1 irons. Like Trevino said, "Even God can't hit a 1 iron." ;)

Those are mammatus clouds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammatus_cloud). Not necessarily a harbinger of bad weather unless they're dark like that.


Mammatus are most often associated with the anvil cloud that extends from a cumulonimbus, but may also be found under altocumulus, altostratus, stratocumulus, and cirrus clouds, as well as volcanic ash clouds.[citation needed] In the United States, sky gazers may be most familiar with the very distinct and more common cumulonimbus mammatus. When occurring in cumulonimbus, mammatus are often indicative of a particularly strong storm or maybe even a tornadic storm.
